His career began as an associate at Poulos Design in Syracuse.  In 1962 he moved to Montreal and began his association with Jacques Guillon.  By 1967 he was the Vice President and Partner.  The company was a comprehensive design firm with Industrial, Interior and Graphic designers on staff.  In 1978 he became President and in 1987 he bought out his partners and moved the Industrial Design services to his own building where he also established a GSM Production Inc.  In these many years of Industrial Design experience he fostered the careers of many of the most prominent  Industrial Designers of today.  In this way Morley participated not only in the design for his clients, but also the development and production of those same designs.  His experience has been very hands on and has allowed him to develop strong skills in the application of the designs.  He is adept at developing the vision of his clients.  His designs go beyond just ideas to actual productions.  Morley’s designs don’t just look good; they work.

His projects in Industrial design include the Montreal Metro, the Acela train, snowmobiles, Versatile farm equipment and the GSM Taxi.  He has also worked on various consumer products, including the Canada Post Mail Kiosks, paint rollers, recreational products and advertising display systems.   A four time winner of the National Design Council Award of Excellence, Morley has also won the Premier’s Award for Design Excellence three times as well as a Design Merit Award from Design Canada and an International Design Award from The American Institute of Interior Designers.

Morley has also lectured at a number of universities, including McGill University, University of Montreal, Syracuse University and the Pratt Institute of Design.

A classic car buff and competitive sailor Morley has personal experience in maintaining the original lines and details of a vehicle as well as a respect for the compact nature of a trailer.  Coupled with his mechanical skill and his design talent his personal and professional experience ensure that the clients of GSM Vehicles will be expertly served.
